40th Anniversary Event Series
Celebrating 40 Years of the Young Women’s Resource Center!
Founded in 1978 by a group of passionate community members led by Louise Rosenfield Noun, the YWRC has been a steady source of support, encouragement and education for young women throughout Greater Des Moines for 40 years.
We organized a series of 12 events throughout 2018 to help us reflect on where we’ve been, where we are now and where we may be in the next 40 years. Thank you to the 2,596 guests who joined us and helped us raise $218,160!

*To better accommodate our supporters’ busy schedules during this season, we have decided to revamp our 40/30 Celebration. Instead of the previously planned event featuring VoteRunLead’s Founder and CEO Erin Vilardi on Saturday, December 8th, we welcome community members to join us, along with Chrysalis Foundation, for a joint anniversary party at the YWRC on Tuesday, December 18th.
We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this change in events may cause, and look forward to wrapping up the YWRC 40th Anniversary Event Series with you on Tuesday, December 18th at the YWRC.
