YWRC Book Sale

We have exciting news…

We are happy to announce that that the Young Women’s Resource Center and Iowa’s Biggest Book Sale have teamed up to host the YWRC Book Sale! We are thrilled to usher this 60-year community book sale legacy into its next chapter with the YWRC.

More than 120 community volunteers are already committed to celebrating literacy and providing educational support to local girls and young women. We encourage you to join our new YWRC Book Sale Instagram page for all the up-to-date information.

An extensive feasibility and strategic alignment process solidified what we knew from the beginning – this will be a fantastic partnership. Proceeds raised from the book sale will support girls and young women right here in our community.

Iowa’s Biggest Book Sale
1901 Bell Avenue, Des Moines, IA

Saturdays 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Sundays 1 – 4 p.m.
(excluding holiday weekends).

Currently accepted items (in good condition only please):

Books; Cookbooks; Cook’s Illustrated (2020 and newer); Unused Crossword, Word Find, and Sudoku puzzle books; Comic Books and Graphic Novels; DVD/BlueRay movies and TV Series, VHS Tapes, CDs, Vinyl Records/LPs, and CD Audio Books (all must be in the original case); Board Games and Puzzles (in the original box); and Sheet Music; Video Games (disk-type games must be in original box)
