at the YWRC

The Empowerment Workshop is a fun and inclusive space where youth can connect and share experiences with their peers from surrounding neighborhoods. We invite students to build community, foster relationships, learn about their passions, explore career opportunities, and gain positive social media and online safety skills.

Topics Include:

  • Reproductive Health: Promoting knowledge, safety, and empowerment
  • Identity Centered Learning: Understanding how identity is perceived and expressed
  • STEM Exploration: Why representation matters and exploring STEM pathways
  • Mental Health & Self-Care: Emotional awareness and healthy coping strategies

Transportation is offered on a first-served basis and within a limit of a 7-mile radius. The Empowerment Workshop will be held at the Young Women’s Resource Center

The event is held at the YWRC, free of charge, and includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks. All supplies are provided.
